Annual NYC Scavenger Hunt!!
Posted by: cfenton | September 16, 2011 | No Comment |Hello everyone! Looking forward to Sunday! I have everyone coming to the scavenger hunt. If you are meeting at my house at 8:00 am, the lake has come over my road and it is impossible to drive up my driveway at this time. I am using 84 Cedar Lake Road driveway and driving through the woods.
I need to arrive at Foley Square (Thomas Paine Park) no later than 10 am. Upon your check in with me I will be collecting Kid’s First $1.00 donations from each au pair and you may be getting a raffle ticket.
All au pairs must arrive at 10:30 am. The scavenger hunt / race will begin at 10:45 am promptly. I can not give out the booklets before announced at the park. If a team has the booklet before the announced time they will be disqualified.
Please wear your Cultural Care tshirts. Each team also must have a digital camera or phone that can take pictures.
Make yourself a team of 4. ( Prizes will awarded based on teams of 4)
This is a race.
You will need to find locations, items, answer questions and take pictures.
The first 3 teams to complete every task correctly and return back to the finish line ( Foley Square Park) will be the winners.
We will not accept any booklets after 12:30
If no teams complete all tasks then the first team back with the most completed tasks will win and so on. Prize ceremony to begin at approximately 12:45
You might want to enjoy an event which is being held this day - the San Gennaro Feast in Little Italy. This is very close to where we will be. I would be happy to attend for all those in my vehicle.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Carolyn

We’ll be organizing fun activities for the kids that teach them how wonderful the place they call home really is.
River Run 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
The EC will host a “Four-Miler” run for teens and adults and a “Kids’ 1/2-Miler” for elementary students. Lock in 2010 Rates!
Posted by: cfenton | November 16, 2010 | No Comment |Great News! Current host families will again have the opportunity to continue hosting an au pair at 2010 rates. Our lock-in-the-price campaign will run from November 1st until November 22nd and you may take advantage of this promotion one of two ways. Current families may either submit their repeat application for next year or complete a lock-in-the-price form to ensure 2010 rates. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to save hundreds of dollars.
Families who have received fewer than 30 weeks of childcare, will receive an email directing them to a quick and easy lock-in-the price form. In order to successfully submit this form, families will need to pay a $300 lock-in-the-price deposit. While this deposit is non-refundable, it will be applied to your family’s program fee when you welcome an au pair into your home next year (no later than October 21, 2011).
Families, who have received more than 30 weeks of childcare and are due to repeat, may also submit the lock-in-the-price form, however we are encouraging you to simply submit a repeat application. Submitting a repeat application will not only lock in the price, but will also give you a head start on the matching process.
Please call or email me if you have comments or questions about our lock-in the price program!
